SkyPath enables efficient and automatic real-time reporting and distribution of clear air turbulence (CAT) data between pilots to reduce injuries and maintenance costs of commercial airline operations.

SkyPath helps airlines to mitigate the effects of turbulence by allowing pilots and dispatchers to be aware of possible incoming turbulence ahead of time and give tactical tools to report and caution other pilots in real-time. The system records and distributes more than 1.4 billion turbulence reports and 10,000 PIREPs per year, and includes a state-of-the-art turbulence prediction Nowcast of up to 6 hours ahead.

  • iOS Native App: The system includes both an iOS native app which can be installed on iPads and be used by pilots during flight.
  • Web App: Web App for dispatchers and management, using SkyPath data to support flight planning, monitoring, and event debriefs.
  • Integrations: SkyPath is designed to support integrations with other systems via the SDK.
  • Nowcasting: SkyPath has developed a cutting-edge AI-driven turbulence forecast with unprecedented accuracy (90%).
  • Cabin Connect: Share live ride quality updates with cabin crew to improve safety.

Developer Tools​

The developer tools consists of:

  • iOS SDK written in Swift, enabling the quick and seamless integration of the SkyPath data layer and turbulence recording into existing iOS applications and EFBs

  • Web SDK written in JavaScript, enabling the quick and seamless integration of the SkyPath data layer into existing web applications

  • REST API for third-party software vendors to consume the data from SkyPath backend service in server-to-server integrations and web applications.
